* Do not speak during boss pulls unless you are told to, or it's necessary for the encounter's success.

2. In-game channels:
* Being in your in-game class and role channels are mandatory.
* Discuss your duties here - role, buffing, assignments etc
* Discuss any loot/rotation issues here first. Try to cooperate.
* Ask any class specific boss questions here first, this will keep the raid chat free for other things.

* Your CL will let you know about most gear requirements.
* Gear must be appropriately gemmed and enchanted.
* You are responsible for crafting/bringing any resistance gear required.
* DPS tanks are expected to have at minimum a shield with them at all times.

Section 2: Raid Procedures

Part 1 - Wait List Procedure:
* One leader will be assigned wait list duty.
* It is YOUR job to send them a tell if you need on the list.  That currently includes:

                1. at the start of a raid if you are not in the first 5 groups
                2. at half time ~7-7:15 PM ST, if you are not in the first 5 groups
                3. anytime you step out, or are asked to step out for someone else.

* You must be reachable via one of the following ways, and you must let the wait list person or role leader know which of the way(s) you can be reached:
                1. main character tell
                2. known alt character tell
                3. class channel
                4. role channel
                5. vent
                6. via another raider either being in the next room or by phone call - however, if you choose to go this route you are solely dependant on that other person
to inform you in time. DO NOT expect a role leader to have to call you, that is not their job.  You are still expected to meet the time requirement
                for coming into the raid.
* You must respond within 1 minute of our asking you to come in. Failure to do so will result in loss of the raid spot and wait list DKP for the night.  After you respond you have 1 minute to accept your raid invite and be summoned.
*If you are going AFK while on wait list - you need to inform your role lead.  If you don't respond when called for and you haven't informed them you were going afk and been acknowledged, you will be taken off WL DKP.

Part 2 - Leadership Duties:

1. Raid Lead duties:
*Are expected to be handed out prior to raid start. Not all duties need to be done by a leader rank person, raiders can and should take turns helping out for smooth raids. Duties include:
Wait List Duty (keeps the wait list, makes sure those people on it are online appropriately and knows how to reach them, takes names on and off as needed)
Raid Leader (forms the raid, makes sure all raid duties are handed out, has the final say in who to invite if we have an extra spot, handles any issues that come up during the raid including having the final say on class balance, removal of problem raiders, keeping vent quiet, and having final say on strategies. (- NOT the pusher!))
Push Duty (Keeps the raid moving, ready checks, etc.)
Master Looter (not a tank or healer, must be on the ball and quick)

2. Role Leaders are as follows:
*Heal Lead - Drachma
*Tank Lead - Afkicus
*Caster DPS - Apostolos
*Physical DPS - Buttesauce

3. Role Lead Duties (In Raid):
Tank Lead -
*Needs to be in the heal chat channel. This will help with confidence when pulling, assigning, etc. Healing and tanks are a team and need to be aware of what the other is doing at all times.
*Assigns MT and OT boss tanking duties well before the boss is reached, as well as going over any strategies the tanks need to know so that both tanks and healers know what to expect and not slow the raid down.
*Assigns a fair rotation for raids. This is a tanking team - make sure every tank gets a shot at MT and OT duties. We don't want to have to be dependent on one person to raid, or we're screwed when they are gone.
*Help a tank having issues, pull them off if they cannot resolve them. We want people to succeed and have the chance to succeed, but also keep the raid moving. Be tactful at all times.
*If you will be absent, assign a backup person to handle invites, and inform the officers who this person will be.
Heal Lead -
*Needs to be in the tank chat channel. This will allow you to see who is tanking what and make healing assingments accordingly, and early, so the raid isn't slowed down.
*At raid start assign 1-2 people to be on trash rez duty. This can be anyone in the raid capable of rezzing and does not have to be a healer, in fact it's probably better if it isn't so that the healers are freed up to keep trash pulls moving.
*During trash pulls, make sure healers are using a drinking rotation as necessary. Have some healers drink during one pull, then rotate the next so that we never have to stop pulling.
*Assign a healer to stick with a tank for trash pulls so there is never a question of if a tank has a healer. (Could even assign 2, one is always healing, the other drinking if need be.)
*Pay attention to tank chat and assign healing duties well before we even reach the boss. Even if that means the heal lead stops healing for a bit in order to macro/plan out assignments. Whatever it takes to be ready by the time we reach the boss and not slow down the raid.
*Help a healer having issues, assign duties according to their strengths, help them with tips to overcome weaknesses, replace healers who are having tough nights with tact. If something just isn't working that night, say so and fix it. Don't let the problem drag on.
*If you will be absent, assign a backup person to handle invites, and inform the officers who this person will be.
Caster DPS Lead - -
*In charge of inviting and fairly rotating all caster DPS including mages, warlocks, shadow priests, elemental shaman, and boomkin.
*Make sure buffs are covered when possible.
*Stay in contact with class leaders about rotation and loot needs, and handle rotation disputes.
*If you will be absent, assign a backup person to handle invites, and inform the officers who this person will be.
Physical DPS Lead -
*In charge of inviting and fairly rotating all physical DPS including rogues, hunters, dps warriors, ret paladins, enhancement shaman, feral druids, and death knights.
*Make sure buffs are covered when possible.
*Stay in contact with class leaders about rotation and loot needs and handle rotation disputes.
*If you will be absent, assign a backup person to handle invites, and inform the officers who this person will be.

Part 3 - Raider Duties

1. Follow all of the above rules.

2. AFK Policy:
*Do not go afk except during designated breaks. If you need to go afk for an emergency, notify the raid leader, role leader, or class leader.
*Notify the wait list person at least 10 minutes in advance of having to take an extended AFK or leave the raid early so your replacement will be ready.
*Repeated ninja afks could result in loss of your raid spot for the night and/or with repeat offenders the loss of raider rank either temporarily or permanently.

3. Buffing:
*Assign buff duties within your class at the raid start and buff promptly.
*Do not wait for a raid leader to call out to buff, pay attention and have it done.
*Don't worry about rebuffing the one or two people that die on trash unless it's a tank, then fort/mark will be sufficient. It will slow things down. Just catch them before a boss fight.
*If we continually have to ask for a buff after wipes, expect a role leader to be on your case. There's really no excuse for not paying attention and doing your job.
*Mages - get those tables up automatically and early. Locks, keep those healthstones coming, don't have to be asked.

4. Boss Knowledge:
*You are expected to have read any posted strategies and videos about the bosses we are doing before you come to the raid.
*Do not come if you have not done this, you will be a liability. If it's obvious you are not prepared, you will be asked to step out for someone who is.
*Please post any strats/videos you find in the raid strat section of the forums if you find good ones. Please discuss any strategy suggestions and changes there as well.
*Please whisper the raid leader if you have suggestions while a boss is being learned. Do not blurt it out over vent or clutter chat or you may confuse people. The raid leader may then decide whether to try it out that night or discuss it further for use on another night.
*Please do not argue about strategy during the raid. There is nothing more frustrating to the other 23 people than to have to sit and listen to an arguement when they should be attempting bosses.

5. Voicing concerns:
*If you have a concern, voice it to your class leader, role leader, officer, or guild leader via tells or mail after the raid. Unless the issue is severe, it will most likely be held until after the raid to discuss it. This is primarily to prevent the raid from slowing to a crawl and wasting 25 people's time.
*Do not under any circumstances make the raid wait, or listen while you disagree with each other. This goes for leaders and raiders alike. Save it for after the raid. A raid leader's decision is final during the raid. Discussion can happen afterward. If you cannot stop arguing when asked to do so you may be muted or asked to leave the raid.

6. Take trash seriously:
*Everyone scoffs at trash, slips afk, or doesn't really pay full attention. But the fact remains that the faster and smoother we can get through trash, the more time we have to spend learning new boss fights, or the faster we gain loot by having faster clears.
*Keep your focus and attention even through trash. Don't ninja AFK.
*We can still have fun while keeping our focus through the trash. We just need everyone to be alert and on the ball.
*The designated trash puller should have a macro announcing when he/she is pulling that goes into /RW.
*The raid marker shouldn't worry about dpsing, but should be breaking off early and marking the next pull early.
*The designated rezzers should be rezzing as soon as the pull ends.
*Healers that need to drink should drink as soon as the pull ends.
*Faster clears, more loot, and quicker first boss downings = happier raiders and more fun, and are all a direct result of taking trash seriously.

7. Push the limits:
*Do not be afraid to wipe. Do not be afraid to wipe. Do not be afraid to wipe.
*Push the limits of threat but don't go over, we may wipe, but our tanks will adjust and clears will get faster.
*Push the limit on how fast we can pull - we may wipe at first, but healers, rezzers, tanks, and DPS will learn to be more alert, adjust, and clears will get faster.
*Be reasonable - but always push yourself just that little bit more.
