Guild Rules
I'm not your mom (though sometimes I feel like it ), however we do have a code of conduct of sorts we expect our members to follow. This is a mature raiding guild and our core members have a very good longstanding reputation. This is not some OMG let's screw off, be rude to everyone else starter guild, or OMG we're better than you all because we can raid guild. If you choose to act in an inappropriate manner towards other people or other guilds - rest assured, I will hear about it. I've been on this server/character almost since the start and the people on this server know me and what I expect from my guildies. To that end - there's a few simple codes of conduct everyone should follow. 1. Gold Buying - Don't do it. With the introduction of daily quests that can be repeated even beyond exalted faction, there is no need to buy gold. Not only is it against the Blizzard Eula, it makes you look bad and the guild look bad. 2. Public conduct toward other guilds - be an adult. I expect not to hear of any member of Sound and Fury publicly bashing ANY other guild, in general chat or on the Dmaw forums. I don't care if they start it - we will not be stooping to responding in kind. Every guild has its failures and successes, we are no different. 3. Public conduct towards other people - don't be a jerk. You represent the guild in anything you do. Don't pretend to D/C in groups, don't ditch them with no explanation, don't be an idiot in general chat, don't try to rip someone off, don't ninja loot, and remember a little politeness goes a long way. 4. Conduct towards your guildmates - golden rule. I realize this isn't Kindergarten, but it still applies. Your guildmates are part of your team, part of your extended family - treat them accordingly. We take it for granted that guild members help each other out when they can reasonably do so. If people aren't prepared to drop everything and run to help you complete a quest, that doesn't mean they are being unfriendly and unhelpful, it means they are busy. Make arrangements to get help later when it is more convenient. If you do have a disagreement - be kind to the other guildmates and do it in tells - don't make the other people online/in vent be forced to listen to your arguments. 5. If for some reason you cannot solve a conflict on your own, please follow the appropriate chain of command when seeking help to do so. Your first attempt to seek help should be the other person's CL. If the CL is unable or unwilling to help you or there is no CL for your class, seek out your role leader (Drachma - healing, Buttersauce - Physical DPS, Apostolos - Caster DPS, Afkicus - tank). In the event that the issue involves your role leader, or they cannot help, seek out an officer - Farmer . If that fails - come see the GM - Lascha. Issues may not always be resolved to your liking, but you will be heard and both sides will have a fair chance at explanations. 6. Guild officers are here to help regulate the guild, as well as to teach, inform and lead. Always treat them with respect. What they say goes. They work really hard for the guild, and they don't get paid for it, so if you appreciate what they do, let them know once in a while—it will really mean a lot to them. 7. Our website is a tool for communication and community building within the guild. Make it a habit to visit regularly. Information about raids and raid rules are among the important items you will want to keep up to date with. If you want to know how raids work, how to request bank items, how to get a vent account, or to learn about our loot system, read the site before you pester someone about it.
